February 22nd is National California Day! This day honors the Golden State, which became the 31st to join the Union on September 9, 1850. Considering Sacramento is the capital of California, we could not pass this day up. For today, Jared letterpress printed an electrotype (copy of a woodcut) of California’s State Capitol building in the 1890s. The Capitol is just over a mile away from the Sacramento History Museum. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press. #Na
