Feb 10, 2021 · The leather M6 scabbard was only issued with the M3 knife, the only bayonet issued with a M10 was the M7. The other bayonets (M4, M5/M5A1, M6, M7) were issued with a M8/M8A1. The M9 and M11 use entirely different scabbards.

Apr 14, 2008 · I would really like to handle one of these unmarked M1 bayonets such as this in order to compare it with some known versions. The molded scabbard is similar to some M8A1s made by (or for) Eickhorn. These foreign made variants of US designs are a collecting field to themselves, and Bill Porter has one of the best collections that I know of.

Dec 19, 2024 · Your scabbard is an early one. We not only had to modify the rifles and the markings on the bayonet, we also had to modify the scabbard. The original British scabbard had a "frog button" instead of the double belt hook like on your bayonet.
