All drivers are up to date and all Windows 11 Updates are installed. I've disabled my anti-virus (ESET) and made DAI an exclusion. Run the game and/or Steam and/or EA Desktop as an admin. Run in ALL compatibility modes (Vista, 7 and 8) Disabled full screen. Uninstalled and reinstalled both the game AND EA desktop. Cleared EA Desktop cache.

Close the game to start, then if you go to My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age Inquision\Save you'll find ProfileOptions and ProfileOptions_profile there. Make a backup of these elsewhere just as a precaution, then delete them and start the game back up. Hopefully the sound will start, you can wipe the backups and get to playing.

Go into the game, go to options then down to account. Uncheck all three options so that they have no check marks. Save changes, close game then open it back up. Hit new game if you are trying to start a new game, as you are creating your character it will ask you if you would like to import from DA servers.

Try going into My Documents > Bioware > Dragon Age Inquisition > Save then open the ProfileOptions_profile file in Wordpad. Scroll down to GstInput.GamePad. There should be a 1 after it. Hero. I would suggest you pull up a task manager and monitor your CPU usages. DAI has been, to my experience a resource hog, meaning when it came out it used 80+ percent of the CPUs. If any other program was trying to use the CPU and that amount added up to more than 15% of the CPU you would get lag and freezes.
