Restart your device. go to display and put the monitors reaolution and advanced display settings and put your refresh rate probably will be solved) then only install nvidia drivers and nvidia softwares.

Apr 12, 2021 · Try checking your monitors OSD. Many 165 Hz monitors can only run at 165 Hz in some sort of stupid marketing overclocking mode. Maybe that's one of those, although I don't really know. I'd just ignore that because 144-vs-165 isn't going to be noticeable anyway. You listed your whole damn pc, but not which monitor you use:)

Dec 2, 2022 · This is actually a 144hz or a 165hz monitor that supports up to 180hz via overclocking in the Nvidia control panel. If he opens that he can set the custom refresh rate to 180. I had to do this for a similar 4K monitor when I wasn’t getting the advertised 165hz even with display port. (Was only offering me 144hz within the settings)

I don’t know why this is the problem. I have checked nvidia control panel and the windows settings options and I don’t actually have the option to up it to 240hz.
