The only difference at the chipset level is maximum number of PCIe lanes and USB ports, most of which aren't actually integrated into the motherboard on which they're installed. The chief reason that the X670 exists is that AMD has figured out that they can get people to pay extra for features that they will never use.

I already have a rough list of the motherboard: Asus PRIME A620M-K 2. Gigabyte A620M DS3H I'm uncertain if this is the optimal choice, but based on price alone, these two options are the most affordable.

The issue I'm currently having is with the brand of motherboard to choose, I know Asus has had issues with their motherboards burning up the 7800X3D chips due to bad bios firmware which makes me want to avoid ASUS.
