Oct 30, 2022 · At Daytona in February 1964 3387 GT was crashed by Mike Gammino, after which it was rebodied by Scaglietti with a new body with the features of the later 250 GTOs which is when it got the integrated rear spoiler, different nose treatment and the fuel filler moved back to the normal position.

Feb 20, 2017 · In this instance the axles of 4153GT and 4293GT may have been swapped by Ecurie Francorchamps, who owned both cars at the time. 4153GT is also said to have 3767GT's original gearbox. Engine in the car is a dry sumped SWB engine from 2445GT with 6 carb GTO set up. The owner of the car also has the original 4153GT GTO engine, but has not fitted it.

Dec 15, 2005 · Innes swapped over with Colonel Ronnie Hoare to check the car when he was driving 250 GTO 3505 GT back from the factory. He was to race 3589 GT for Tom O'Connor's Rosebud Racing Team in the US later on in 1962 and 1963, then painted a lighter blue. Sadly Innes died not so long after writing the article aged 63.
