Oct 1, 2024 · You can use these keyboard shortcuts inside the Windows Command Prompt. Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Insert: Copy selected text to the clipboard. Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert: Paste copied text inside the Command Prompt. Ctrl + A: Select all text on the current line. (If the current line has no text, all text inside the Command Prompt will be selected.)

Feb 21, 2024 · In order to Copy/Paste, it forces me to either A) click into the non-office program and make it the active page -> [Crtl+C], then click back to make the office program the active page -> [Crtl+V], or B) use the finnicky touchpad to do the process through the right-click menu. -This is NOT a hardware issue, nor an issue with the keyboard's drivers.

Jan 2, 2018 · The Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V for copy/paste will not work on any program on my computer. The same for the undo shortcut Ctrl+Z. My Windows 10 software is updated and I have tried uninstalling the keyboard and restarting my computer.

In char-mode, each character you type is sent to the terminal (like in any terminal) and most emacs shortcuts are disabled (to enable terminal shortcuts). In particular, don't be surprised if shortcuts to change the buffer do not work.

Jun 25, 2023 · The lowest level keys for copy, paste and cut are. CTRL Ins - Copy. SHIFT Ins - Paste. SHIFT Del - Cut. These work when all else fails. If you can highlight/select it CTRL Ins will copy it. Even when there is no context menu such as with Event Viewer

Since my MS Word has recently been updated, the keyboard shortcuts for copying and pasting formatting have changed to Alt+Ctrl+C and Alt+Ctrl+V, respectively. However, I have become conditioned to using Ctrl+Shift+C and Ctrl+Shift+V. But now, when I do the latter key combination, it pastes from the clipboard as plain text (without formatting).

All other Ctrl key shortcuts operate fine (e.g. if I highlight a piece of text and enter Ctrl + B, the text becomes bold as expected), as well as all other Word specific shortcuts (e.g. Alt, N, B to insert a page break).
