Oct 23, 2021 · I can only imagine the number of slugs. I grew summer cabbage at my allotment this year. They were huge. I was delighted. Went to harvest them and they were filled with slugs snd slug slime. By the time I had peeled back the leaves to get rid of the slime and slugs I had cabbages them size of my fist and a compost bin full of cabbage leave.
