May 8, 2024 · The M4 11" keyboard is 581 grams/ 1.28 lbs. The iPad M4 11" iPad is .97 lbs so you have a setup that is a whopping 1.3 lbs! For comparison my MacBook Pro is 1799 grams/3.69 or 4.0 lbs. This brick of a keyboard is fine if you use your iPad only on a desktop table but is useless if sitting on a couch or in bed.

Jan 21, 2024 · Magic Keyboard trackpad not working fresh out of box? Bought the 4th gen 12.9in iPad Pro and set it up last night. I bought the Magic Keyboard to pair and immediately connected it to my iPad after initial iPad set-up. Keyboard works fine, but the trackpad is completely unresponsive? I'm unable to see a cursor or use any of the touch shortcuts.

Aug 10, 2023 · Remove the iPad from the Keyboard - and carefully/gently clean the smart connector contacts on both the iPad and keyboard with a soft pencil eraser (a drafting-film eraser is ideal). Ensure that the contacts on both iPad and keyboard are dirt and dust free - and all debris from the eraser have been removed - before reconnecting the two.

May 26, 2024 · “However”, if the iPad is not connected to the keyboard but the charging cable is already in the keyboard, once I attach the iPad to the Keyboard, the iPad does not charge. If I unplug and replug the power cable into the keyboard, charging works fine. On my older iPad Air, if I attached the iPad to its keyboard, it would just start charging.

Dec 8, 2022 · "Shift" key didn't work on iPad using Universal Control I've just updated my Mac & iPad to 15.4 OS. The Universal Control is cool but I couldn't use SHIFT key on Mac's keyboard or an external keyboard to type on my iPad. If I type "Shift + 7" normally it will appear as "&" but on iPad it's "7" like the Shift button was never hit.

Sep 22, 2016 · The bug gets silenced if the keyboard gets disconnected from the iPad Pro. However it does quickly reapear after the pad goes into sleep. The two solutions are dead simple. Stop using an iPad or stop using Apples NotSoSmartKeyboard. No issues with blueetooth keyboard here. Honesty, Apples software quality isnt that good anymore.

Jul 9, 2023 · My iPad Pro 12.9 stopped charging after the last iPadOS 16.6 update My ipad pro 12.9 stopped charging after the last 16.6 update. It does not charge from the magic keyboard either. I have done the reset, shut down, and even taken to the apple store.
