If you have bedrock you'll have to shoot it, and that's very expensive. In my area (southern Wiscsonsin) you'll have bedrock just under a normal basement.

Discreet hardening of doors, windows, garage and she'd are probably the easiest and cheapest way to keep stuff where it belongs. As mentioned above, C clamps on rollers for garage work great.

When the snow is all gone the wood dries and eventually the shack catches on fire and we shovel some more snow on it. No big deal in a ice shack that cost you $4 worth of screws to build, but a pretty big deal if it is your home.

Apr 3, 2012 · What I did was to build a chest type cooler with the thick styrofoam at least 10 to 12 inches on the sides and thicker on the lid. I used 2liter bottles with frozen drinking water in them. In the lid I used the Dry Ice(frozen CO2, -109.3 degrees Fahrenheit) It would keep the cooler cool for over 10 days before adding more dry ice.
