The grocery store chain confirmed on Monday that it has plans to open a location in Cranberry on Cool Spring Drive, near the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. Wegmans says the new store will sell a variety of food,

This will be the first Wegmans Food Market in the Pittsburgh region. The 115,000-square-foot store will be built in Cranberry.

The new location will be part of the Cranberry Springs mixed-use development, which includes luxury single-family homes and apartments, Class A office buildings and other retail operations, including restaurants. The company expects to hire 400 to 500 employees, the majority of them local.
