A South Carolina man wanted on homicide charges was arrested Wednesday in Westminster, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

Flood Watches remain in effect Saturday for much of southeast Georgia and South Carolina, including Charleston, which Friday broke its daily rainfall record set in 2008. The city received 4.16 inches of rain, of which 2.25 inches fell in just a half hour.

Four earthquakes rocked the same South Carolina county early Saturday morning. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquakes occurred in Greenwood County near Coronaca, about an hour drive south of Greenville. All four earthquakes happened within about an hour of each other just after midnight.

One person was killed and another hurt in a Friday night wreck along West Camden Road in Darlington County, authorities said. It happened around 10:30 p.m.

Herbert Dozier of Conway was arrested on 78 charges, including 39 felonies, after a tip led police to seize dozens of hounds.
