Sharon Jenkins is joining the San Marcos mayoral race after serving 12 years on the City Council and terming out earlier this year.

The council approved plans for The Roosevelt, a mixed-use project with 23 apartments and 5,400 square feet of commercial space, in a 4-1 vote.
