Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in Pawtucket Friday morning.The Pawtucket Fire Department responded around 9:00 a.m. to a home on Freight Street.The department says responding units saw a heavy fire from a second floor apartment.

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Crews are working to extinguish a fire that broke out in Pawtucket Friday morning. Firefighters were called to the scene on Freight Street just before 9 a.m. Crews were seen working through both the first and second floor and there is a lot of visible damage.

At least two units were destroyed after a fire broke out at a Pawtucket apartment complex Friday morning. Firefighters were called to the 125 Freight Street around 8:45 a.m., where they encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from a second-floor unit.
