Electronic Arts (EA) has announced the end of Origin, its 14-year-old game launcher. The company will sunset Origin this April, forcing gamers with EA titles to open them via the newer EA app.
However, Origin will be completely shuttered on April 17, 2025, as Microsoft ends support for 32-bit software. Anyone still using Origin will need to swap over to the EA app before that date.
Origin, of course, was later replaced with the EA app, but because of its lack of features compared to Origin, many kept using it in place of the EA app. Those people will soon be forced to switch.
