The 66 House Democrats have collectively been paid more than $130,000 during their boycott of legislative proceedings.

Minnesota House DFL members boycotted the legislative session for a 15th day on Wednesday with no signs the stalemate with Republicans will end anytime soon.

ST. PAUL – The stalemate over the power-sharing agreement in the Minnesota House enters another day. The only wrinkle Wednesday seemed to be the silence between the two sides. Republican leader Lisa Demuth says “No discussions with Representative Hortman.”

The DFL’s boycott of House proceedings headed into its third week Monday. House GOP and DFL leaders hadn’t reached a deal after meeting over the weekend and again Monday morning.

Despite the slow start for the House with only eight bills introduced after the first few days of session, a couple hundred were in play prior to the House shutdown.

At the state capitol, House leaders from both parties have been meeting through the weekend as a power-sharing stalemate continues to keep the chamber from doing business. Esme Murphy speaks with leaders on both sides to see if there's any light at the end of the tunnel in Talking Points.
