A man was arrested in connection to an armed robbery that took place at a Dollar General on Monday, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. On Monday January 6, deputies were called out to a Dollar General store located on SC-252 in Belton.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is working to see if there is a connection between this armed robbery and several others that occurred around the new year.

Since 2023, seven babies in the neonatal intensive care unit of a Richmond hospital have suffered unexplained fractures and other injuries. Police last week arrested former nurse Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman and charged her with malicious wounding and felony child abuse.

IMPD says on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, there was an armed robbery the Dollar General at 3616 E. 10th Street on the near east side. An employee said two people wearing masks and all black clothing entered the store,

The Elizabeth City Police Department says officers were called to a Dollar General at 1903 Weeksville Road for an armed robbery around 9:40 p.m. The police department says they are looking for two men after speaking with employees who say they entered the business with handguns demanding money.

The suspects went to a Family Dollar afterward, but were quickly found by police in an alley behind the store.
