Major League Baseball announced during the first inning of the Tigers-Rays finale that Zach McKinstry was added to the American League roster for the game Tuesday in Atlanta. McKinstry, who finished third in the fan balloting at third base, joins starters Riley Greene, Javier Baez and Gleyber Torrez, along with pitcher Tarik Skubal.

The Detroit Tigers have the best record in the majors. Now they are tied for having the most All-Stars, too. Zach McKinstry was picked Wednesday to replace Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña, who has been dealing with a rib injury.
