NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Vanderbilt University is facing a hefty fine after fans storm the court in Nashville on Saturday. The Southeastern Conference announced the fine on Sunday, which will be $250,000.

The Vanderbilt University men's basketball team defeated the No. 6 University of Tennessee by just a single point Saturday, but as a result of the fans' excitement about the victory, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced Vandy will have to pay a hefty fine for the second time in less than four months.

The SEC announced Sunday that Vanderbilt has been fined $250,000 for the court storming at Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday. Here's more:
