The DCI is investigating a report of possible explosives at the new state prison in Lincoln County. The public is asked to stay away from the scene.

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has confirmed there is no danger and no explosives were found at the site of the future South Dakota Men's Prison in Lincoln County.

Tony Mangan, communications director for the South Dakota Attorney General, told the Argus Leader in a phone interview that DCI investigators "just reached" the site and have begun working on an investigation.

Law enforcement said the report of possible explosives came into the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, who contacted the Division of Criminal Investigation.
