Drivers are facing delays on the M6 approaching Greater Manchester following a crash this afternoon. Two lanes of traffic have been closed on the northbound carriageway between junctions 22 and 23.

It took place between Alsager Road, Audley, and the M6 J16 slip-road. Police are at the scene to hold back traffic and aid vehicle recovery. Motorists face delays heading towards the motorway.
