The Indian equity market closed in the green on Tuesday amid favourable domestic and global cues, as Adani Enterprises was the top Nifty 50 gainer.

It was a bloodbath on Dalal Street on Monday as the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index Sensex tanked by 1,048.90 points to close at 76,330. The Nifty dropped 345.55 points, finishing at 23,085.

The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a gap-up start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 23,280 level, a premium of nearly 118 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.
