If you are a Pixel 8 user suffering from the swipe-back gesture bug that first appeared in October following the Android 15 update, you’re in luck. According to a post on Google’s Issue Tracker page,

A persistent back gesture bug affecting Pixel phones since the Android 15 update (around three months ago) is finally getting a fix in an upcoming update. The bug primarily affects right-to-left swipe gestures for navigation, requiring multiple attempts to register.

Affected users report inconsistencies with back gesture activation when swiping inward from the right side of their phone’s screens. Google has finally addressed the underlying issue and will release the fix with a future update.

The first public beta build of Android 16 is scheduled to drop any day now, with Google's development timeline showing a Beta 1 milestone release in January 2025. But before that kicks off, the beta build that will eventually become the March 2025 Pixel Feature Drop just received its final scheduled update.
