Alfie Wise, who teamed with Burt Reynolds in many of his films including The Cannonball Run, Smokey & The Bandit, Stroker Ace, among others, has died. He was 82.

Alfie Wise, known for his role as Batman in “The Cannonball Run” and Burt Reynolds’ longtime costar, died at the age of 82 on July 22, 2025.

Alfie, a two-year-old golden doodle, visits the Statehouse twice a week. His human is a policy director in the Office of the Indiana State Treasurer.
