As the Mets try to make a World Series push in 2025, signing Willy Adames would certainly add some power to the mix.

Mets baseball president David Stearns acquired star free agent shortstop Willy Adames for the Brewers. Adames is thought willing to consider third base, and Stearns has said Mark Vientos could play first base if the need arises. Adames should have plenty of interest.

When the New York Mets signed Francisco Lindor to a 10-year, $341 million contract prior to the 2022 season, they figured to be set at shortstop for years. Lindor's 2024 season did nothing to dissuade the Mets from that position.
