A third-generation Jeep Compass was last confirmed by Stellantis to enter production at a plant in Canada in 2026.

The automaker, which owns Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, Dodge and Fiat, says it's reassessing its product strategy in North America.

The carmaker is reassessing its product strategy amid recent leadership shakeups as well as EV and tariff policy changes under President Donald Trump.

Thanks to big changes at Stellantis in recent months and a new administration in the White House, Jeep must reevaluate.

Stellantis has shut down all activity at the Brampton, Ontario assembly facility where it was slated to begin production of the next-generation Jeep Compass sometime next year. Automotive News says it was told by a company source that Stellantis halted operations while it re-evaluates whether a battery-electric Jeep Compass makes sense for the North American market.
