After months of teases, Cadillac officially announced the Lyriq-V as a 615-horsepower, high-performance electric SUV that will go on record as the “quickest” vehicle ever produced by the luxury automaker.

Cadillac Lyriq-V is presented, as Cadillac expands its Lyriq electric SUV model lineup with a high-performance V model.

Balancing both luxury and absolute EV performance, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V earns its title as the fastest Cadillac ever, while also being mildly practical.

This enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in approximately 3.3 seconds in Velocity Max mode. That makes it the quickest Cadillac, as it’s a tenth of a second faster than the CT5-V Blackwing.

Cadillac is adding to its high-performance V-Series family with the 2026 Cadillac LYRIQ-V. The first-ever all-electric V-Series vehicle, the LYRIQ-V delivers signature performance blended with craftsmanship and technology.

The Cadillac Lyriq was the first of a new breed of General Motors' electric vehicles. Built around a common battery platform ( which used to be called Ultium ), the midsize SUV has been on sale for about three years now, and for model year 2026, there's a new version available, the first Cadillac EV to wear the V-series badge.
