Microsoft announced new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop devices for businesses running on Intel Core Ultra series 2 processors — the first Surface Copilot+ PCs to use the chip giant's "Lunar Lake" architecture.

For business buyers, last year's opening salvo of AI-ready PCs was a nonstarter due to compatibility issues with Qualcomm's processors. Those Surface Pro and Surface Laptop devices will soon be available with Intel's Lunar Lake processors.

Microsoft’s new Surface Laptop for Business is a laptop with support for up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 268V Lunar Lake processor, 32GB of LPDDR5x memory, and a choice of 13.8 inch or 15 inch IPS LCD displays with 201 pixels per inch, 120 Hz refresh rates, and 3:2 aspect ratios.

The rumors are true. Microsoft is launching Intel-powered versions of its Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7. Available on February 18th, both of these new Surface devices are Copilot Plus PCs, but instead of using Qualcomm’s Arm-based Snapdragon X series of chips, they’ll use Intel’s Lunar Lake processors.
