Singer Marie Osmond has said the death of her older brother, Wayne, is “another giant hole in my heart”. Wayne Osmond died aged 73 last week. His family said he passed away peacefully “surrounded by his loving wife and five children”.

News broke on January 2 that Wayne died in Salt Lake City, with sibling Merrill Osmond making the announcement via Facebook. “My brother was a saint before he came into this world, and he will leave as an even greater saint than he came in,” Merrill wrote at the time, noting that his brother “endured much” before his death.
