The team of 32 biologists, foresters and other conservation specialists at Eglin Air Force Base have won the 2014 Department of Defense Environmental Award for Natural Resources Conservation.

Eglin Air Force Base is located in northwest Florida, comprising over 640 square miles. This is a military friendly area and also a major tourist attraction due to the white sand beaches.
