This is the first international route that Delta has operated locally since 2011 when it previously flew to Mexico.

It is also adding a seasonal flight to Accra, Ghana, and leaning into its Austin expansion with a new route to Cancun and increased service to Orlando Delta Air Lines closed out the month of February with some exciting new international routes for its loyal passengers in the coming year.

Delta Air Lines will launch its first international route from Austin in 14 years this December. Nonstop flights from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Cancun will begin Dec. 20. The seasonal route will continue through mid-April 2026,
