SAN MARCOS, Texas — A man is in custody after a SWAT operation early Thursday morning in San Marcos. According to the San Marcos Police Department, law enforcement received a report of a person being held hostage at an apartment complex at the 1600 block of Aquarena Springs Drive.
THE COLONY — Animal control officers removed 88 dogs, cats, reptiles and pet mice from a home in The Colony as part of a SWAT raid trying to save the animals believed to suffering from cruelty and neglect. Commands from SWAT officers with their rifles pointed rang out in a quiet neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
Residents were ordered to shelter in place Sunday after SWAT was called out to south Austin. The order has since been lifted.
