The Patriots are reportedly set to hire Lions defensive line coach Terrell Williams as the new defensive coordinator.

According to reports, the New England Patriots want to hire Detroit Lions defensive line coach Terrell Williams as their next defensive coordinator.

Terrell Williams spent six seasons working with new Patriots coach Mike Vrabel before coming to Detroit last winter.

Mike Vrabel has hired Josh McDaniels and Terrell Williams to be his top coordinators, while the Patriots have retained Jeremy Springer to lead special teams.

Detroit Lions defensive line coach Terrell Williams is departing the organization and will accept the defensive coordinator position with the New England Patriots. Williams had previously worked with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel during their stint with the Tennessee Titans.

The New England Patriots have hired Terrell Williams as the team's defensive coordinator, SportsCenter 5 has learned.

According to reports, the Lions are expected to hire Kacy Rodgers as their new defensive line coach. Rodgers was formerly the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defensive line coach and run game coordinator.
