Matsuyama, the 2021 Masters champion and current World No. 5, is now the highest-ranked player in the Farmers Open, followed by No. 6 Ludvig Aberg. Others in the top 25 entered are Keegan Bradley (11), Sahith Theegala (13), Sungjae Im (19), Aaron Rai (22) and Tony Finau (25).

Some of those names include Ludvig Aberg, Tony Finau, Max Homa, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala and Will Zalatoris. French Olympian Matthieu Pavon will return to defend his title.

"We're So Cal kids," Woods said. "To see what has happened, I've known a couple people that have lost everything, so it's just hard."
