LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville men's basketball team is climbing the rankings after throttling SMU last week. The Cardinals (15-5, 8-1 ACC) were ranked No. 21 in Monday's AP Top 25 poll, up four spots from last week. This is the highest the team has been ranked since they were 16th in January 2021.
The forward has dealt with a broken thumb for the last month, and had to sit the Cardinals' previous game vs. Virginia.

Louisville’s lead grew to as much as 26 points in the first half, and the Cardinals led 50-27 at halftime. They were able to expand their lead to as much as 32 points early in the second half before SMU went on a 17-6 run midway through the second half to cut the lead to 18. But that was as close as the Ponies would get.
