Oklahoma (14-4, 1-4) defeated South Carolina (10-8, 0-5) 82-62 Saturday afternoon inside the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. The victory over the Gamecocks snapped a four-game losing streak that the Sooners have dealt with throughout SEC conference play. The win gave OU its first SEC victory in their first season in the conference.

Guard Reyna Scott was inserted into the starting lineup for Nevaeh Tot, a reward for Scott’s nice play of late. Oklahoma rushed out to a quick 8-2 lead, forcing Georgia to burn a timeout, before Baranczyk’s line changes truly started to get rolling.

The Sooners rank No. 1 nationally in pace, an advanced stat that is equal to a number of possessions per 40 minutes of action. The Bulldogs rank 82nd in pace and 193rd nationally in turnovers per game.
