Bradley Beal came off the bench for the first time in nine years and scored 25 points as the Phoenix Suns ended a four-game skid with a 109-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
“As for Beal the no-trade looms large,” Gambadoro reported on X, formerly Twitter. “He could have went to Milwaukee before he ended up in Phoenix but that was turned down. Have heard he would waive no trade for LA, Miami, Denver but I do believe there are a few others that he could ultimately decide work for him.”
It’s understandable that Beal was caught off-guard. He has been advertised as one leg of this big three in Phoenix since the moment he waived his no-trade clause about a year and a half ago to approve a trade out of Washington.
Beal, one of their three stars, could get jettisoned in an attempt to fix what is ailing them, and he would reportedly waive his no-trade clause in order to get sent to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Beal has some extremely impressive scoring seasons during his career, but his numbers have been on the lower end this season. During two seasons with the Washington Wizards, Beal averaged over 30 PPG, but this season with the Suns, he is averaging just 17.8 PPG. He is also averaging 3.7 RPG and 3.1 APG.
