Liverpool's march to the Premier League title continued with a 3-1 victory over last-placed Southampton on Saturday as Mohamed Salah bagged a double and Darwin Nunez scored to give them a 16-point provisional lead over Arsenal.

Liverpool's lead in the Premier League has grown to 16 points. Mohamed Salah's lead in the Golden Boot contest is up to seven goals. Both races are turning into a procession after Salah converted two second-half penalties for his 26th and 27th goals of the campaign to clinch a 3-1 win for Liverpool at home to last-placed Southampton on Saturday.

Manchester City are far from their best but Liverpool still had a job to do at the Etihad, where they had not won in the league since 2015. With Arsenal losing at home against West Ham on Saturday, Liverpool had the chance to make their lead at the top of the table even more intimidating.
