The Cleveland Browns are closer to constructing a new, enclosed stadium after Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed late Monday night a state budget bill that allocates $600 million in unclaimed funds to the project.

The Cleveland Browns received $600 million from the state of Ohio that can be used to build a new stadium in Brook Park, Ohio.

Records filed with Cuyahoga County Friday show that a company tied to the Browns bought the land for $76 million. This comes after Ohio lawmakers included $600 million for the new stadium in the state’s budget. The budget is awaiting Gov. Mike DeWine’s signature.
