A man was killed in a crash on Interstate 84 in West Hartford early Monday when the BMW he was driving was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer. The crash was reported around 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway prior to Exit 44, according to Connecticut State Police.

A crash between a car and a tractor trailer in the area of Market and Morgan streets sent two people to the hospital, according to Hartford fire officials.

The three vehicle crash, which involved a tractor trailer, claimed the life of a 22 year old woman. The victim has been identified as Haley Short. She died at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Office.
