After going No. 1 overall to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2025 NBA draft, Cooper Flagg gave props to the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder this week.

During a pre-draft chat with The Athletic, Flagg revealed what he thought would be his toughest matchup in the association. While most players, such as his former teammate Kon Knueppel (who picked Giannis Antetokounmpo) and No. 2 overall pick Dylan Harper (Irving), named other players.

Cooper Flagg has signed with the Dallas Mavericks on a four-year rookie deal, the franchise announced. Terms of the contract for the 2025 NBA Draft's No. 1 pick were not disclosed, but Flagg is set to make $62.7 million over the deal per the NBA's rookie salary scale for the 2025-26 season.
