The game’s reserves were announced Thursday, as voted on by the league’s coaches, and Ball was not among them.

Even though the format of the game is a bit different, the voting method remains the same. The results to determine the starting lineup are once again calculated based on a weighted system from fan voting, media voting, as well as player voting.

That left many big-name stars left on the outside looking in when All-Star weekend begins in a few weeks. In the Eastern Conference, the two biggest snubs appeared to be the Hawks' Trae Young and the Hornets' LaMelo Ball,
