Gov. Glenn Youngkin began issuing vetoes Monday, rejecting legislation passed by the General Assembly this year that would raise the minimum wage and prohibit carrying certain semi-automatic center-fire rifles and shotguns in public spaces.

Glenn Youngkin, has again vetoed bills to increase the minimum wage and to establish a Prescription Drug Affordability Board. The governor also signed legislation that will require adults to wear seat belts in the back seat as of July 1.

Lawmakers will take up Youngkin’s ideas on April 2 when they return to Richmond to address any changes the governor wants to make to their handiwork.
