Police say the shooting occurred Tuesday night at a gas station in the 1500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Tuscaloosa police were dispatched at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to the Shell station in the 1500 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Tuscaloosa on a shooting.

Police have arrested a Tuscaloosa man and charged him with attempted murder after he allegedly shot another local late Tuesday night at a gas station on the west side.

A 41-year-old man was arrested after a Monday night shooting that left one person dead in Tuscaloosa. Dennis Anderson of Tuscaloosa, was charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting, said Capt. Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department said the incident happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of Joyce Lewis Lane.

Tuscaloosa police were dispatched at 11:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of 20th Street. They arrived to find the victim, whose identity has not been released, dead on the scene.

Lovelle Rodgers of Tuscaloosa was charged with capital murder in connection with the fatal shooting, said Capt. Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit. Rodgers is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
