If approved by regulators, the deal, called “Blue Sky,” would allow United’s MileagePlus members and JetBlue’s TrueBlue members to earn and redeem miles on “most” flights operated by the other

United and JetBlue have announced a Blue Sky partnership. This will let passengers book flights for both carriers on each other’s websites and extend frequent-flyer redemption options. United will also return to JFK International Airport for the first time in 10 years.

The airlines will allow passengers to use and collect points interchangeably and offer flights on one another’s websites and apps, helping expand each company's offerings and giving United a presence at JFK.
