Undocumented people with criminal records are the main target for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to Miguel Vergara, San Antonio field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations.

Following Gov. Greg Abbott’s announcement to expand immigration enforcement, major Texas cities are complying with the directive.

FIEL Houston said they have fielded more than 150 calls from concerned citizens reporting who they thought were ICE agents in their neighborhoods.
