PS5 Slim could be getting a Black Friday discount, but no one seems to know for sure as Sony delisted the announcement trailer.

Sony is cutting the price of the “slim” PS5 digital edition by $70, making it more affordable for the holiday season. Typically, that PS5 model costs $449.99, but it will start at $379.99 through December 24th, according to a new ad.

Sony has announced by way of a new PS5 advert that the base PS5 Slim console will be available on sale at $380 until 24th December 2024. It hasn't confirmed on what date the temporary price cut will take place,

Arguably the PS5 Pro‘s biggest obstacle was its large price tag. Selling for $699.99 here in the U.S., that is a big ask for a mid generation upgrade. However, if Japan sales are any indication, it seems gamers see the value of the new and improved console.

The trailer originally stated that the digital PS5 Slim would be on sale until December 24 for $380. The system originally launched for $400 before Sony raised the price to $450. Bringing it down to $380 for the holidays is a nice offer, and hopefully it comes back. Microsoft already slashed the price of the Xbox Series X by $50 for the holidays.
