New York City can be an unforgiving sports market, but New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns is learning firsthand there's also nothing like it when times are good.

There is not a lot that fans of the Yankees and the Mets agree about as crosstown rivals. But one thing many have in common is a love for the Knicks.

The Knicks fan shown on Towns’ shirt went viral in 2021 after the Knicks won their season opener over the Celtics in double overtime. He put his fingers in an L shape on his forehead and danced after saying “f–k Boston” in a wild scene outside of Madison Square Garden.
