The Houston Texans have cut former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson. The Texans claimed Johnson off waivers after the Baltimore Ravens released him in Week 16. The Ravens cut Johnson after he refused to go into the team’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was upset by his role and lack of snaps.

Diontae Johnson wanted a fresh start with the Houston Texans. Three weeks later, he’ll look for his fifth “fresh start” of the 2024 season. The Texans waived the veteran receiver on Tuesday morning, ending his stay with the AFC South champions less than a month after being placed on waivers by the Baltimore Ravens.
