The Ringgold resident hit the jackpot, winning $2 million on a $20 Hot 777 scratch-off game sold at an Exxon station on U.S. Highway 41 in Ringgold, the Georgia Lottery said. The lucky player beat odds of 1-in-1,360,000 to take the top prize, according to the lottery’s website.

The player won $100,000 after matching four of five numbers in the Powerball drawing Wednesday, March 19, narrowly missing the $418 million jackpot, the Georgia Lottery said. They would’ve won $50,000 but spent an extra $1 on the Power Play multiplier to double their prize.
